How to get rid of dead trees in your backyard

The first thing you need to do is identify the problem.

Here are a few suggestions to help you out.

1.

Get out the binoculars.

Get outside and look at the problem area.

You may also need to get out your garden hose and check the tree to see if the roots have been removed.

This will show if you are getting rid of the problem before the roots grow back and the tree begins to look alive again.

2.

Check the soil.

If the roots are not gone, you may need to check the soil for any loose material or debris that may be holding up the tree.

3.

Check your sprinkler system.

The water from the sprinkler may have accumulated on the roots or the roots may have grown out of control.

Check it with a soil probe or dig a hole and get an accurate measurement.

You can also look for the amount of water in the tree’s root system and use a soil analyzer to find out how much water is going into the tree and where it goes.

4.

Check for pests.

You might also want to check your lawn or garden hose for a number of insects.

You should also look at soil on the tree so you can check for soil disturbance.

If you see any of these pests, then you should do something about it. 5.

Treat your tree.

If all else fails, you can try some of these things.

Water the tree with a solution of water from your garden water tank and/or use a chemical insecticide to get the pests out.
